JOHN 1:14-18 (New Living Translation)
“So the Word became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen His glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father. John pointed Him out to the people. He shouted to the crowds, ‘This is the One I was talking about when I said, ‘Someone is coming Who is far greater than I am, for He existed long before I did,’” We have all benefited from the rich blessings He brought to us – one gracious blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses; God’s unfailing love and faithfulness, came through Jesus Christ. NO one has ever seen God. But His only Son, Who is Himself God, is near to the Father’s heart; He has told us about Him.”
Heavenly Father;
Thank You for Your Living Word, Jesus – Your Only Begotten Son, Who is full of unfailing love and faithfulness.
Thank You that Your Holy Spirit speaks to us through Your word and through our pastor and teaches us about You that we may know Your love for us and that we may know You better.
Thank You for Your plan of redemption that saves us from our sin and hell. Thank You for Your love that gives us hope of Heaven.
Thank You for Your care and love. We are so unworthy of Your blessings, yet You are so good to us.
Thank You for the hope we have with You everyday. Thank You that even our repentance is a gift from You.
Thank You for Your wonderful, extravagant and undeserved grace!
Heavenly Father, we fall so short of walking in Your holiness and love. Please help us to be more like Jesus.
Please bless our pastor and help him to hear clearly from You and to be drawn closer to You through whatever trial he may be facing. Please be his strength and provide for all of his needs.
Please strengthen his faith in You and answer his prayers as one friend to another.
Please pour Your grace upon Him that Your love may flow through his life and ministry by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
